Ownership of Images

Pinned Event Photography operates as a technology platform. Unless otherwise stated, all intellectual property rights, including copyright in photographs and other uploaded content, remain with the respective photographer, event organiser, or rights holder who supplied the content. Pinned Event Photography does not claim ownership of photographs uploaded to or distributed through the platform.

Rights Granted to Purchasers

Upon purchase, customers are granted the usage rights specified by the photographer or event organiser for the purchased images. Where no specific usage restrictions are stated, customers may use purchased images for personal, non-commercial purposes. Any commercial use may require the permission of the relevant photographer, event organiser, or copyright holder.

Platform Licence

By uploading content to the platform, photographers and event organisers grant Pinned Event Photography a non-exclusive licence to host, display, process, market, sell, and distribute that content through the platform for the purpose of providing its services.

Prohibited Activities

• Reverse engineering, decompiling, or disassembling any software included on this website.
• Gaining unauthorised access to accounts, galleries, or digital content.
• Using the platform for unlawful purposes.

How payments work

All purchases are made through the PINNED platform. Payments are processed securely by Stripe, a PCI-compliant third-party payment provider. PINNED does not store your card details. By completing a purchase you agree to Stripe's terms of service in addition to these terms.

Pricing

Photo prices are set by event organisers and displayed clearly at the point of purchase. Prices are shown in the currency of the event you are buying from: pounds sterling (GBP), US dollars (USD), euros (EUR) or Australian dollars (AUD). They are inclusive of any applicable taxes, and you always pay in the currency shown at checkout. If your card is in a different currency, your bank or card provider may add its own exchange charge, which PINNED does not control. PINNED reserves the right to enforce a minimum price per photo across the platform.

Commission

PINNED operates on a commission model. As standard, PINNED retains 30% of the sale price as its platform fee and the remaining 70% is paid to the event organiser. A different rate may be agreed with an individual organiser, in which case the rate agreed for that organiser applies. Payment processing fees are paid by PINNED and are not deducted from the organiser's share. Buyers pay the price shown at checkout in full; the commission split is an arrangement between PINNED and the organiser and does not affect the buyer.

Organiser payouts

Payouts are made weekly, every Monday, through Stripe to the Stripe account the organiser has connected to PINNED. A sale becomes eligible for payout once 7 days have passed since both the event date and the date of the sale. Eligible sales are included in the next Monday payout, so the first payout for an event is made between 7 and 13 days after the event, which for a weekend event is usually 8 to 9 days after it. Payouts then continue every Monday for 12 months from the event date, covering all eligible sales not yet paid. A payout is made when the organiser's eligible balance is £5 or more. A smaller balance carries forward and is paid on the first Monday after it reaches £5. Any balance remaining at the end of the 12-month period is paid in a final payout, whatever the amount. Stripe collects and holds the organiser's bank and identity details; PINNED does not receive or store them. Payouts normally reach the organiser's bank within 2 working days of the Monday payout, depending on Stripe and the bank. Refunded sales are not paid out. PINNED reserves the right to withhold a payout where there is a dispute, chargeback, or suspected fraudulent activity.

Payouts are made in the currency of the event the sales were made in. Any currency conversion fees that arise when PINNED processes sales or payouts are paid by PINNED and are not deducted from the organiser's share. Charges made by an organiser's own bank are outside PINNED's control and are not covered.

Modifications

Pinned Event Photography reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes become effective when published on the website.

Entire Agreement

These Terms and Conditions constitute the entire agreement between you and Pinned Event Photography regarding use of the website and services.

Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
