Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 24 June 2026

Welcome to Pinned Event Photography. We provide an online marketplace that enables event organisers to upload, market, and sell event photography to participants and customers. These Terms and Conditions govern your use of our website and services. By accessing or using our website, browsing galleries, purchasing products, or otherwise using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

1. About Us

Pinned Event Photography owns and operates this website.

Email: hello@pinnedphotography.com
Website: www.pinnedphotography.com

2. Ownership of Our Website

The website software, branding, design, functionality, and content created by Pinned Event Photography are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

You may browse our website, search for photos, and use our preview features for personal, non-commercial purposes only. Any unauthorised copying, scraping, distribution, or misuse of website content is prohibited.

3. Your Use of Images and Content

Ownership of Images

Pinned Event Photography operates as a technology platform. Unless otherwise stated, all intellectual property rights, including copyright in photographs and other uploaded content, remain with the respective photographer, event organiser, or rights holder who supplied the content. Pinned Event Photography does not claim ownership of photographs uploaded to or distributed through the platform.

Rights Granted to Purchasers

Upon purchase, customers are granted the usage rights specified by the photographer or event organiser for the purchased images. Where no specific usage restrictions are stated, customers may use purchased images for personal, non-commercial purposes. Any commercial use may require the permission of the relevant photographer, event organiser, or copyright holder.

Platform Licence

By uploading content to the platform, photographers and event organisers grant Pinned Event Photography a non-exclusive licence to host, display, process, market, sell, and distribute that content through the platform for the purpose of providing its services.

Prohibited Activities

  • Reverse engineering, decompiling, or disassembling any software included on this website.
  • Gaining unauthorised access to accounts, galleries, or digital content.
  • Using the platform for unlawful purposes.

4. Payments

How payments work

All purchases are made through the PINNED platform. Payments are processed securely by Stripe, a PCI-compliant third-party payment provider. PINNED does not store your card details. By completing a purchase you agree to Stripe's terms of service in addition to these terms.

Pricing

Photo prices are set by event organisers and displayed clearly at the point of purchase. Prices are shown in pounds sterling (GBP) and are inclusive of any applicable taxes. PINNED reserves the right to enforce a minimum price per photo across the platform.

Commission

PINNED operates on a commission model. For each sale, PINNED retains 30% of the sale price as its platform fee. The remaining 70%, less any applicable payment processing fees, is paid to the event organiser. Buyers pay the price shown at checkout in full; the commission split is an arrangement between PINNED and the organiser and does not affect the buyer.

Organiser payouts

Earnings are paid to event organisers on a 14-day rolling schedule, once their available balance reaches a minimum threshold of £10. Payouts are made to the bank account registered by the organiser. PINNED reserves the right to withhold a payout where there is a dispute, chargeback, or suspected fraudulent activity.

5. Refund and Replacement Policy

Customers are responsible for ensuring they purchase the correct product before completing an order. Due to the nature of digital products available for immediate download, refunds are generally not available after digital files have been downloaded unless required by law.

If there is a technical issue affecting your purchase, you must notify us within 7 days at hello@pinnedphotography.com and provide sufficient information for investigation. If an issue is verified, we may provide a replacement, correction, or refund at our discretion.

In the event of a chargeback raised by a buyer, the full chargeback amount plus any associated fees may be deducted from the relevant organiser's balance.

6. Disclaimers

Our website, ordering systems, and content are provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We strive to maintain service availability but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access. Pinned Event Photography shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, punitive, or exemplary damages arising from use of the platform or purchased products. Our website may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices.

7. Customer Responsibility and Indemnification

If you violate these Terms or infringe any intellectual property rights relating to content available through the platform, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Pinned Event Photography, its officers, employees, and representatives from any resulting claims, losses, costs, damages, or reasonable legal expenses.

8. General Terms

Modifications

Pinned Event Photography reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes become effective when published on the website.

Entire Agreement

These Terms and Conditions constitute the entire agreement between you and Pinned Event Photography regarding use of the website and services.

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
